We are a privately owned and family friendly campground. The campground is open to registered campers and their visitors only. We have created the following rules and regulations to provide a safe and relaxing camping experience for you and your family. By making a reservation at the Kootenai River Campground, you and your guests/visitors agree to abide by the rules and regulations in addition to all local, state, and federal laws and by clicking the button at the bottom of this page, you have agreed to accept the terms and conditions.

Check-In and Check Out Hours
RV and Tent Sites - Check in between 2:00pm to 9:00pm (Mountain Time)
Cabins - Check In between 3:00pm to 9:00pm (Mountain Time)
Check Out Time is 11:00am.
If you are traveling from out of state - remember Montana is in the Mountain Time Zone - Please note that we don't allow check-ins after 9:00 PM. If you will not be able to check-in by 9:00pm Mountain Time, please make your reservation for the following day.
Lock-Site Fee Feature
Many of our sites are guest favorites. We now have an option for you to guarantee a specific site number. A one time $20 fee allows you to lock-in your desired RV site. This is completely optional but our online booking system optimizes occupancy and has the potential to move your reservation to another site within your selected site type. (The system will not change your site type) If you don’t want to pay that fee, rest assured, you are guaranteed the same type of site with all of the amenities you’ve reserved and we will retain some flexibility in shuffling reservations appropriately.
Please note, all lock site fees are non-refundable.
Cancellations
At the time of booking, your credit card will be charged the full amount for your reservation. If you have to cancel your reservation, please give us a call.
Reservations cancelled 14 or more days in advance and not over a holiday or event weekend are subject to a 10% cancellation fee.
By reserving a space with your credit card, you are authorizing us to enforce our cancellation policy. Camping is an outdoor experience; we do not give refunds due to discomforts of nature or early departures.
Occupancy and Vehicles
Be sure to select the correct number of guests when making your reservation. The default is set for 2 adults however be sure to click the block and add any additional guests and pets.
We allow one RV and one tow vehicle per campsite and we allow one vehicle per cabin or tent site. Our group tent site can accommodate up to three vehicles - Additional vehicles may be required to park off-site.
Basic Park Rules and Policies:
We reserve the right to refuse service to any person who shows a disregard for our guidelines without a refund. Guests and their visitors agree to use the campground at their own risk.

- Quiet time is 11:00 PM - 8:00 AM.
- The playground closes at dark.
- Tents are not permitted on our RV Sites.
- Generators are not allowed unless the park experiences a power outage.
- Again, only one RV and one vehicle is permitted per site. Please do not park on the grass.
- No mats or rugs allowed on grass. Place any mats you wish to use on gravel.
- RVs and other vehicles may not be washed in the park.
- RV and vehicle repairs are not permitted unless pre-approved.
- Please keep your pets on a leash or in your RV at all times.
- Do not leave pets unattended in the park.
- Pets must be cleaned up after immediately. When they poop, you scoop.
- Do not allow pets to walk in or relieve themselves in flower beds.
- Pets are not allowed in any buildings.
