Clean restrooms and shower facilities are located within just a short walking distance of all cabins and camp sites.
* Laundromat *
A coin-op laundry is located in the main office building featuring new high efficiency commercial washing machines and new dryers. We keep the laundry open 24 hours a day for your convenience.
* Wireless Internet *
High speed wireless internet access is available throughout the park and was further upgraded during the 2019 season.
* Camp Store *
During your stay, stop in and visit our camp store. Whether you are looking for food items, gifts (some created by local artists), or RV/Camping supplies, hopefully we have just what you need. Need information on the local area, a fresh cup of coffee or an ice cream, stop in. We also have a selection of games and DVD movies you may borrow while you are here and there is even a book exchange.
Dry firewood, Ice and a Propane filling station are also available at the Camp Store.
** We just got our Beer and Wine License and are now able to offer "ice cold beer" and a selection of your favorite wine right here at the campground **
Fishing is available right on the property and in numerous nearby lakes and streams. Fishing licenses can be purchased nearby in the town Troy.
* Hiking/Site Seeing *
Hiking/Sight Seeing - Kootenai River Campground is surrounded by the Kootenai National Forest.
Hiking trails and natural scenic wonders such as the Kootenai Falls, Yaak Falls, and Ross Creek Cedars are all just minutes away.
Be sure to make time to visit the Kootenai River Falls and the Swing Bridge located just 10 miles east of us.
The movie "The River Wild" with Merrill Streep and Kevin Bacon was filmed there as well as "The Revenant" with Leonardo DiCaprio. Additionally, Bull Lake which was featured in the 1989 movie "Always" is only 17 miles from the campground.
Numerous hiking trails, picnic areas and river access are all available.
